- NERSA requests public comments Eskom tariff application
- To give a final decision on 25th February
The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) has issued a notice to the public seeking comments on the tariff review application of state-owned utility Eskom. Eskom applied for a 20.5% tariff increment for the 2023 financial year. The public has until 21st January to submit comments on the application.
”NERSA will collate all comments received, which will be taken into consideration when the decision is made. NERSA will also hold public hearings using any acceptable public consultation mechanism in line with the COVID-19 restrictions and applicable government regulations, wherein presentations may be made by interested and affected parties,” NERSA said in a notice to the public.
The energy regulator will give its final decision on the Eskom application on 25th February.
