Capital Energy, a Spanish renewable power retailer and project developer, has revealed its plans to construct more than 59 MW of wind power projects in the northern Spanish region of Asturias.
The company, on Monday, revealed that it has gone into an agreement with the Allande City Council, stating its plans to hire local workers for the construction and operation of the Castello and El Corral wind farms and to stimulate other actions such as infrastructural improvement in the municipality.
Over EUR 60 million is estimated as investments for the wind parks. Upon commencement of operation, the projects should yield more than 150,000 MWh every year. This will be enough to meet the power demand of 57,000 local homes and offset 56,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
