Sterling and Wilson Solar has commissioned its 66MWp Al Husainiyah solar power plant in Jordan. Amit Jain, Global CEO of the group, noted that the project is essential for the country’s economic growth by reducing reliance on expensive hydrocarbon imports. According to a company statement, the power plant is also expected to save about 50,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
Sterling and Wilson has completed over 11.4GWp of solar power projects globally. The company provides EPC services for utility-scale solar power projects, focusing on project design and engineering, and manages all aspects of project execution, from conceptualising to commissioning.
