Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee stated that both corporations would commence removing billboards across the county to enable the LEC to run wires freely without causing problems.

On the other hand, the LEC welcomed the partnership. He noted that supplying electricity required navigating not only financial challenges but environmental and social issues. He noted that the corporation required assistance to provide electricity to all of the country’s citizens. The LEC also appreciated the efforts of the Liberian government, the European Union, and the World Bank in helping establish the partnership. The LEC added that they plan to extend the electricity supply to Virginia and beyond. These are areas that have not been electrified folleoingt the Liberian civil war. This partnership provides an opportunity for citizens on that side of Montserrado County to be electrified.

The post LEC Partner with Monrovia City to Extend Electricity in Liberia appeared first on The Electricity Hub.

Liberians Take to the Streets Demanding Electricity

News

Electricity News

Liberia

Monrovia

west africa electricity news

Jallah town community residents staged a protest They are demanding electricity supply from LEC Residents say they had no supply for three years The residents of a Jallah community in…

The post Liberians Take to the Streets Demanding Electricity appeared first on The Electricity Hub.

https://theelectricityhub.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Liberians....m4a
Jallah town community residents staged a protest

They are demanding electricity supply from LEC

Residents say they had no supply for three years

The residents of a Jallah community in Monrovia, Liberia have taken to the streets in protests against the lack of electricity supply.
