This follows the successful commissioning of a solar project at Continental Envelope’s manufacturing plant in Geneva, Illinois, making it one of the state’s largest rooftop solar facilities.

In the next two decades, the installed ATD solar power system will reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 5,463 tons, the equivalent of approximately 12,442,130 miles of car travel. The company is also optimistic about the benefits beyond environmental gains, specifically ATD’s ability to generate substantial costs.

This project by Correlate Energy in North Carolina headquarters successfully capitalises on the continued corporate push for financially buoyant decentralised energy generation. The anticipated benefits for ATD go beyond environmental gains and into the expected generation of substantial cost savings by reducing reliance on traditional energy sources.

The post Correlate Energy Commissions Another Solar Project appeared first on The Electricity Hub.

North Carolina Approves The Construction of its First Wind Farm

Emmanuel Onyeuche

International News

Renewable Energy

Sustainable Development

North Carolina

Wind Farm

North Carolina regulators have approved Apex Clean Energy’s request to build a 189 MW wind farm in Chowan County, the state’s first. The developer expects to begin construction soon.

Turbines for the Timbermill Wind project will be spaced approximately 1/4 to 1/2 mile apart. The project will be sited on managed timberland and open farmland in rural Chowan County.

The post North Carolina Approves The Construction of its First Wind Farm appeared first on The Electricity Hub.
