Tata Power Inaugurates Solar Project in Gujarat

  • Tata Energy adds 120MW to its renewables portfolio.
  • The project will reduce some 103,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.

Tata Power Renewable Energy has announced the commissioning of a 120MW solar project in Masanka, Gujarat. The company noted that the facility would generate 305247MWh of electricity annually.

According to a statement by the company, approximately 381,000 modules were utilised during installation, and the project will reduce some 103,000 tonnes of CO2 yearly.

In a statement by Praveer Sinha, the chief executive and managing director of Tata Power, “We have solidified our position as a major renewable energy player with unmatched prowess across the solar Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) value chain and are committed to continuing our steadfast efforts to help India achieve its clean energy goals.”

With this addition of 120MW, the renewables capacity in operation for Tata Power now stands at 3,520MW, comprising 2,588MW of Solar and 932 MW of Wind.
