The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced the successful transmission of 5,552.80MW on the national grid. This was made known in a statement released by the General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah. In the statement, Mbah said “This latest all-time peak transmitted, surpasses the last peak generation of 5,552.80MW transmitted by TCN by 31.60MW”.
“The new national peak is a result of continued collaboration among players and the gradual increase in capacity in the power sector” the statement further noted.
The TCN attributed the new peak transmission to the continuous efforts to revamp its transmission network. The Management of TCN further assured Nigerians of its continuous efforts to improve electricity transmission in the country. “The management of TCN assures the general public that it will continue to work hard to ensure efficient transmission of power generated on the nation’s electricity grid,” the statement read.
