Landlady and daughter beat tenant to death
- The argument was over electricity bills
A tenant in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state has been beaten to death by the daughter of the Landlady. Ms. Tina Essi, the daughter of the deceased Landlady had on the 31st of January gotten into an argument over electricity bills and this eventually led to a fight. The tenant subsequently experienced severe pains and finally gave up the ghost on the way to the hospital on 6th February.
Following the arrest of Ms. Essi by the State Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Panti, the Spokesperson of the CID, Ademuyiwa Adejobi stated that following preliminary investigations, it was found that the argument occurred over the payment of electricity bills which eventually led to a fight between the deceased and Ms. Essi.
The Spokesperson urged for the family of the deceased to be calm while investigations are carried out.
