The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State command, and the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) have forged a collaborative effort to tackle the rampant vandalism of power installations within the state. Commandant Usman Alfadarai and EEDC’s Business Manager, Chibueze Iwuala, formalized this partnership during a meeting held at the command headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital.
Expressing concern over the continuous vandalism of critical public assets, Commandant Alfadarai emphasized the severe impact of such acts on society. He underscored the NSCDC’s readiness and dedication to working closely with the EEDC, other security agencies, and the public to address this challenge effectively.
In his remarks, Business Manager Chibueze Iwuala highlighted vandalism as a significant impediment to the company’s efforts to deliver efficient service in Abia State.
