Tolulope Longe to Chair 2025 Bullion Lecture on Energy

  • Tolulope Longe, National President of Women in Energy, Oil and Gas, will chair the 2025 Bullion Lecture on April 10, themed ‘Architecting the Energy Sector for Nigeria’s $1-Trillion Economy Vision’.
  • Professor Barth Nnaji will deliver the keynote lecture, and Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu will attend as Special Guest of Honour.

Tolulope Longe, National President of Women in Energy, Oil and Gas, will chair the 2025 edition of The Bullion Lecture, scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2025. The event will take place at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year’s lecture, themed ‘Architecting the Energy Sector for Nigeria’s $1-Trillion Economy Vision’, aims to explore how Nigeria’s energy sector can drive sustainable economic growth. The Bullion Lecture, initiated by the Centre for Financial Journalism, has become a prominent platform for engaging dialogue on national and global issues.

Longe is a top professional in the energy industry. She graduated with First-Class honours in Chemistry (Industrial Option) from the University of Ibadan.

Tolulope holds an MBA from Imperial College London and a Master of Technology in Petroleum Technology. She finished both postgraduate degrees with distinction. Her leadership in the industry reflects the strategic focus of this year’s lecture.

In a statement, Dr Ray Echebiri, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Financial Journalism, announced that Professor Barth Nnaji, Founder and CEO of Geometric Power Limited, will deliver the keynote lecture.

Professor Nnaji, a respected voice in energy and innovation, will examine key strategies for transforming Nigeria’s energy architecture in line with the country’s $1 trillion economy target.

Supporting the discourse, Sir Victor Okoronkwo, Group Managing Director of Aiteo E&P, and Dr Ogho Okiti, CEO of ThinkBusiness Africa and Convener of the Africa Business Convention, will serve as panellists. They will provide expert insights and help dissect the keynote presentation.

Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Power, will attend the lecture as the Special Guest of Honour. The event promises to attract a diverse audience, including government officials, industry leaders, banking and maritime executives, ICT professionals, legal experts, scholars, diplomats, development partners, and media practitioners.

The 2025 Bullion Lecture, chaired by Tolulope Longe, is set to stimulate critical conversations around energy, innovation, and Nigeria’s economic future.
