Total Eren, a Paris-based renewable energy power producer, has announced that its affiliate in Portugal, Generg, has finalised the installation of a 52.8 MW wind power plant in Portugal. The installation was done across three wind farms in Caramulo, Gardunha and Pinhal Interior as part of over-equipment projects.
As the company was performing over-equipment works at Caramulo, it has also extended the wind farm capacity by adding a new 4.8 MW Nordex N149 turbine to the already installed 90 MW.
With the over-equipment projects, Generg now operates close to 500 MW of wind power capacity in Portugal. The company is currently working on a new wind farm project in central Portugal and over-equipment some of its remaining wind farms, with plans to start building in 2023, Total Eren said.
Generg is part of Total Eren’s whole-owned subsidiary Novenergia Group.
