  • Trina announces that its 670W vertex module is now available in the Middle East and Africa.
  • The module was recently certified by TÜV Rheinland.
  • The module could reduce solar installation costs by as much as 7%.

Leading solar modules manufacturer Trina Solar has announced that its 670W Vertex module is now available in the Middle East and Africa. After completing the reliability test, the 670W module series was recently awarded the IEC certification from the TÜV Rheinland. Dr Zhang Yingbin, Trina Solar’s head of product strategy and marketing department, notes that the  670W Vertex series has the same non-destructive cutting, high-density interconnection and other high-precision technologies of the 210mm modules. In addition, Dr Yingbin states that the module maximises container space utilisation in transportation which could reduce installation cost by up to 7 per cent and result in lower LCOE costs for consumers.

Antonio Jimenez, managing director and vice-president, Middle East & Africa, Trina Solar, stated, “The new 670W Vertex series is a milestone achievement in the PV modules industry, and we are truly proud to be leading the way with our cutting-edge technology that continues to revolutionise the solar energy sector. We are confident that the new 670W Vertex series modules will attract plenty of attention across the MEA region as it does globally, and we are looking forward to fulfilling our customers’ requests for these ultra-high-power modules.”

The 670W Vertex modules, as a  type of 210mm modules, integrate high-efficiency reliability and power generation and a low cost. These modules are increasingly being adopted in the market, with over 78 per cent of tenders attracting these modules. Industry experts estimate that 210 modules production capacity would reach 120GW by the end of the year. 210 modules will account for 70 – 80 per cent of Trina Solar’s overall shipments in 2021.
