China’s Trina Solar will supply solar PV panels for the 850MWp Futura 1 solar project in the Brazilian state of Bahia. The Futura 1 project comprises 22 separate solar parks and is part of an even larger scheme of three phases that Focus Energia is developing in Juazeiro. The project is set to be completed in April 2022, with the entire power produced by the plant will be allocated to the free market.
Trina Solar will deliver over 59,000 pieces of its 600W bifacial module. Trina started operating in Brazil in 2017 and sees it as a vital market in its bid to increase its global share of the solar module market.
