In its native Tunisia, the company has deployed 455 solar PV installations. About 10 per cent of all solar installations carried out in 2020, according to data from the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG).
SPC Manager Zied Mabrouk noted that the company believes that it can become a major player in the African market especially given the low electrification access rate in many countries. “We have succeeded in this breakthrough thanks to our expertise and experience of more than 20 years in the renewable energy field and with the support of our German partner Asantys Gmbh,” he pointed out. He believes that SPC could take advantage of the increasing adoption of solar energy among African markets.
