- 600MW of electrolysers to be installed.
- 240 tonnes of hydrogen to be produced annually.
French green hydrogen producer, Lhyfe, has entered into a partnership agreement with a German company, Wpd, for the installation of 600MW of electrolysers in Sweden. The electrolysers will be used for the production of green hydrogen, using electricity from renewable energy. Renewable electricity of about 1GW is to be sourced from the Storgrundet wind park in Sweden.
The project will see the installation of the plants in phases, with the first phase expected to commence in 2025. Wpd Offshore Sweden AB revealed this fact after the Letter of Intent for the partnership with Lhyfe was signed.
The green hydrogen production plant will be located in an industrial location within the Soderhamn municipality in Sweden. It is expected to deliver 240 tonnes of green hydrogen every year.
