United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has deployed two simplified drinking water supply systems (SDWS) in Sissili in Burkina Faso. Both facilities, located in the Nébiélianayou and Pinou villages, will provide potable water to over 2,300 people.

Solar PV systems are used to pumps power both boreholes. The solar PV system comprises  8 solar panels with a combined capacity of 2.08kW. The pump has a  pumping capacity of 3 m3 per hour. in Pinou, the borehole has a pumping capacity of 7 m3 per hour. Water is stored in a 10 m3 tank in both boreholes and distributed to over 2,303 people in both villages via four standpipes.
