United Airlines plans to increase seats from the UK to the US by 7 per cent this summer. Karolien De Hertogh, UK and Ireland Sales Director, highlighted United’s commitment to the UK market.
She stressed the importance of travel agents in supporting the carrier’s growth. This summer, United will operate up to 20 daily flights between Heathrow and the US.
De Hertogh emphasised that London is a crucial market for United. United has ordered 800 aircraft scheduled for delivery by 2032, marking the most significant order in aviation history.
The aim is to enhance capacity and improve passenger experience. United has been using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) since 2016. SAF agreements are also in place in Amsterdam and Heathrow.
United believes SAF can contribute to net-zero goals. Safety is a top priority for United.
The airline welcomes collaboration with the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Recent incidents involving United aircraft have raised safety concerns. United remains focused on safety and delivering quality service.
