Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems has received a 348MW order for an unspecified wind energy project in Brazil. Under the agreement, Vestas will supply 81 turbines of its V150-4.2 MW model, delivered in 4.3MW power optimised mode.
Under the agreement, Vestas will provide a five-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service. Vestas plans to supply the turbines and commission the equipment in 2023. This order would increase Vestas deployed capacity in Brazil to 5.3GW of V150-4.2 MW wind turbines.
