Vestas has received a 63 MW order for a wind park in Italy. The contract includes the supply and installation of 14 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines and a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
Vestas General Manager Italy Francesco Amati said the order showcases the suitability of Vastas’ latest models for the Italian market. He said Vestas’ 4 MW platform will continue contributing strongly to Italy’s energy transition over the coming years.
Vestas is the energy industry’s global partner in sustainable energy solutions. They design, manufacture, install, and service onshore and offshore wind turbines globally, with over 177 GW of wind turbines in 88 countries.
Amati noted that turbine delivery is expected for the first half of 2025, whilst commissioning is planned for the second half of the same year.
The order also reinforces Vestas’ leadership in the country’s wind energy sector, which has installed over 5.2 GW since 1991. The firm stated that Vestas have more than 30,000 employees who are bringing the world sustainable energy solutions to power a bright future.
