- Vestas will deliver six turbines for a project in Portugal.
- This supply puts Vestas’ total supply to the country at almost 1GW.
Danish wind turbine producer Vestas Wind Systems says it has received an order to supply turbines for a 25MW project in Portugal. The order was filled by clean energy developer Finerge SA for an unnamed project in the country’s north. Vestas will supply and install six turbines of its V150-4.2 MW model under a 20-year service contract.
Vestas is set to deliver the turbines in the second quarter of next year, with commissioning scheduled for Q4 2022. This order puts Vestas total supply to Portugal at almost 0.9GW, either installed or under construction.
