Vietnamese Solar Company Wins Mega PV Supply Project in the US

  • Signs contract for the supply of 255 MW PV modules.

Boviet Solar, a Vietnamese solar manufacturing company, has revealed its signing of a contract for the supply of 255 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules to be used in a utility-scale solar project in the US. The customer to be supplied is an unnamed global renewables developer.

Boviet Solar is a part of Ningbo Boway Alloy Material Co Ltd, and its US headquarters is in San Jose, California. The company will deliver its Vega Series 550W PERC monocrystalline – bifacial double-class PV modules for the project. It also stated that its modules combine high-purity monocrystalline wafer technology with PERC, half-cut, multi-busbar, and large cell design.

Boviet Solar had already, in March this year, revealed a brand and logo towards positioning itself as Boviet Solar instead of Boviet Solar USA and Boviet. The company was set up in 2013 with offices in Germany and China.
