- Voltalia completes 2.26GW of renewable projects in 2022.

Voltalia SA of France completed 2022 with 2.6 GW of renewable power plants in operation or under construction, a year ahead of schedule.
After commissioning 442 MW of renewable energy facilities in the previous year, the Paris-based power producer had 1,571 MW of renewable energy facilities generating electricity at the end of 2022, representing a 39% increase in annual terms. Meanwhile, it began construction on new projects, increasing its under-construction portfolio to 1,022 MW from 580 MW at the end of 2021.
The 50.6-MW Garrido cluster of small solar facilities in Portugal, the 140-MW Karavasta solar park in Albania, the 148-MW Bolobedu photovoltaic (PV) farm in South Africa, and a 260-MW solar complex in Brazil are among the projects that have begun construction.
Voltalia previously announced a goal of having more than 5 GW of capacity operational and under construction by the end of 2027, as well as more than 8 GW of capacity operational on behalf of clients by the same year. The company secured €490 million in capital increase last month to support the 2027 target, for which it estimates investments ranging from €2.5 billion to €3 billion.
