WAPP held its 2020 General Assembly

The West African Power Pool (WAPP) is determined to ensure the connectivity of member countries to the regional electricity market. The Chairman of WAPP, Engr. Abdulaziz has expressed optimism of the Assembly’s plans to connect Nigeria and other West African countries to a regional electricity market. He also assured member countries will very soon, be connected to each other’s electricity grids.
The Secretary-General of the Assembly, Mr Sengui Apolonaire speaking at the Assembly noted, the strides made so far despite the impact of the pandemic on the region and also commended the efforts of members towards to implementation of projects and urged them to remain dedicated to the achievement of a regional market.
The WAPP was established to enable member countries to work towards a regional electricity market. The WAPP held its annual Assembly in Lome.
