- Wartsila is enhancing a new contract in Egypt.
Wartsila, one of Eygpt’s major independent power producers (IPPs), is set to supply new generation equipment that will add about 20MW of output to the Borg El Arab power plant in Egypt. The technology group (Wartsila) entered into a new contract in February with Kahraba, a subsidiary of Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH).
Under this contract, Wartsila will upgrade the existing 40MW plant with the latest generation control system. The contract was booked in Wartsila’s order intake in Q1, 2022.
