- The annual Africa Movers and Shakers watch list for 2020 has been announced
- West Africans top the list
- Five Nigerians and 1 Nigerien and Ghanaian each make the list
The African Energy Chambers (AEC) has released the 2020 list of 25 Top Movers and Shakers Watch List. West African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and Niger have made the list.
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari as well as Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) Damilola Ogunbiyi have been named as some of the industry’s movers and shakers. Also on the list are Mele Kyari (MD, NNPC), Tony Attah (MD/CEO, NLNG), and Seun Suleiman (/MD/CEO Siemens Nigeria).
Khadija Amoah, Country Director, Aker Energy Ghana, and Niger’s Minister of Petroleum, Foumakoye Gado also made the list.
The AEC’s Director of Strategy, Mickael Vogel has said “Our Top 25 Movers and Shakers list depicts the future of the oil, gas and energy future. These selected individuals have shone the light for Africa, and we feel it is our responsibility to shine a deserved light on them. We are enthusiastic to see their progress in the new year and look forward to what appears to be an optimistic year ahead”.
