He added that the Ministry would focus on clean and alternative energy sources to complement conventional power generation in the country. According to Dr Prempeh, the government plans to increase clean energy penetration by 10 per cent by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGoing forward, we are encouraging increased private sector investment in utility-scale solar (solar-hydro hybrid) and wind energy projects, as well as accelerate the development of mini-grid solutions in off-grid and island communities for lighting, irrigation and other economic activities\u201d, The minister stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ghana plans to increase renewable energy penetration by 10% this decade.
