True North, under development in Falls County, is Avangrid\u2019s first solar facility.  It will reach commercial operations in early 2025.                                                                                                                                        <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pedro Azagra, Avangrid\u2019s CEO, \u201cWe are proud to sign this agreement with a partner like Meta who, like us at Avangrid, has a strong commitment to accelerating the energy transition in the US. With projects like True North, we continue our mission of helping the country meet its ambitious clean energy goals while creating quality jobs and strengthening our local economies.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2020, Meta\u2019s global operations have been supported by 100% renewable energy. The True North project will support Meta\u2019s upcoming data centre in neighbouring Temple, its second data centre in Texas. True North will create over 200 local jobs during its construction and operation.
