Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) has been granted a loan by the federal government. The loan was granted for meter procurement in the state, in line with the mass metering program.
The meters to be sourced are about 85,000. Sale Mamman, the minister of power, made the announcement in Yola, Adamawa state. He said the grant would help close the metering gap in the state.
He added that with the availability of meters, there are expected reductions in Aggregate Technical, Commercial and Collection (ATC&C) losses.
