- The solar plant will supply power to ZETDC under 25-year PPA
The Zimbabwean government has provided a Belarussian company with a swathe of land in Norton to construct a 100MW solar power plant. According to Information Minister Monica Mutsvangw, the plant will require an investment of US$125.5 million. The plant developer will supply t power generated to state-owned Zimbabwe electricity transmission and distribution company under a 25-year PPA.he
The minister added that the power generated from the solar plant would complement the power generated by the thermal power plants. The implementation of the project will commence following the signing of the double taxation and bilateral investment protection agreements between the government of Zimbabwe and Belarus.
