- Stakeholders will explore technology-driven solutions to operational challenges across the oil, gas and power value chains.
- Discussions will focus on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, gas monetisation, decentralised energy systems and decarbonisation strategies.
Stakeholders across the energy sector will gather at NOG Energy Week 2026 to explore innovative solutions to operational challenges affecting the oil, gas and power industries.
Organisers said the event’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD)-certified technical seminar will bring together industry practitioners, engineers, procurement specialists, technology providers, researchers, academics and policymakers to discuss technologies capable of improving efficiency and performance across the energy value chain.
The discussions will take place against a backdrop of changing global energy dynamics, including geopolitical uncertainties, supply chain disruptions and growing pressure on producers to optimise operations and maximise output.
To address these challenges, participants will examine the role of digital transformation and advanced technologies in modern energy operations. The seminar programme will feature sessions on artificial intelligence applications in reservoir management and production optimisation, asset integrity management, engineering innovations and integrated operational systems.
In addition, stakeholders will focus on gas development and monetisation opportunities as countries seek to unlock greater value from their natural gas resources.
The programme will also shine a spotlight on liquefied natural gas technologies, floating LNG facilities and flare gas utilisation initiatives. Industry experts will explore strategies for converting stranded gas reserves into commercially viable energy resources capable of supporting economic growth and energy security.
As Nigeria and other emerging economies accelerate efforts to expand energy access, discussions will cover decentralised power systems, modular energy solutions and localised manufacturing models designed to strengthen energy delivery and support industrial development.
Furthermore, participants will assess investment trends shaping the energy landscape, alongside strategies for managing mature oil and gas assets. Other key topics include human capital development, decarbonisation pathways, health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) practices, project management and operational excellence.
Organisers revealed that the technical committee received more than 700 abstracts from contributors across the globe. Selected submissions cover a broad range of themes, including geoscience, engineering, digital technologies, energy markets and sustainability.
The strong response reflects growing global interest in technological innovation and sustainable development within the energy industry.
NOG Energy Week remains one of Africa’s leading energy gatherings, attracting stakeholders from the oil, gas, power, renewable energy, technology and finance sectors.
Beyond showcasing emerging technologies and industry best practices, the event provides a platform for dialogue on critical issues shaping Nigeria’s energy future, Africa’s energy transition and developments across the global energy market.
