Brazilian solar component manufacturer Renovigi Energia Solar plans to build a photovoltaic (PV) factory in Ceara state. The Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state’s governor Camilo Santana. The company plans to invest BRL12.4 million ($2.5m) to construct the facility in the Pecem Industrial and Port Complex.
Renovigi specializes in producing and selling small solar power systems and related equipment, including PV panels and inverters. The company plans to produce about 600 solar generation systems per month, or 7,200 annually. The factory will utilise raw materials from Asia; as such, it will be sited at a suitable location to facilitate easy logistics for the raw material sourcing.
