- The plant will reduce emissions by 90,000 tonnes annually.
Spanish clean energy EPC company Global Energy Services (GES) announced that it had completed a 49.9MWp solar plant in Spain. GES was awarded the contract by developer Alter Enersun SA to provide engineering services and manage the procurement of the machinery and main equipment, build the plant, substation and power evacuation lines. The contract, however, did not include the supply of PV panels and transformers.
The Huelva 2021 solar plant is sited in Huelva province in the southern part of the country and covers about 85 ha. The facility comprises 112,168 panels and will generate about 100 GWh annually. GES says that the plant will reduce CO2 emissions by 90,000 tonnes yearly while providing energy to about 28,000 local homes.
