- Sony completes a 391.2kWp solar installation in Dubai, offsetting 40% of its regional headquarters’ energy use and cutting around 235 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
- The project advances Sony’s global “Road to Zero” strategy, supporting long-term carbon neutrality goals and sustainable operations across the Middle East and Africa.
Sony Group Corporation has completed a solar power installation at its regional headquarters in Jebel Ali Free Zone. The system delivers 391.2 kWp and supports the company’s daily operations with clean energy.
The installation will offset nearly 40% of the headquarters’ total electricity consumption. In addition, it will reduce annual carbon emissions by about 235 metric tonnes. The system is designed to operate for 25 years, ensuring long-term environmental and operational benefits.
Sony developed the project under its global sustainability programme, Road to Zero, which targets full environmental neutrality by 2050. The Dubai installation also supports the company’s medium-term “Green Management 2030” goals.
DP World supported the initiative and emphasised the role of clean energy investments in advancing the UAE’s sustainability agenda.
Sony MEA has operated in Jafza for more than 30 years, and the headquarters serves as a major regional hub for operations across the Middle East and Africa. Through this solar deployment, the company strengthens its commitment to sustainable business practices and long-term emissions reduction.
